ROCOL Forge University Links

Company News

Industrial lubricants manufacturer, ROCOL has welcomed academics and students from the China University of Petroleum (UPC) to its head office as part of an international schemed hosted by Bradford University with the aim of developing academic-industrial links.

The students, who are all studying chemistry, process engineering and petrochemical engineering at UPC, spent time learning about wear testing of low environmental impact lubricants for the marine and offshore industry as well as touring ROCOL’s mechanical testing labs.

“It has been fantastic to be able to share something of ROCOL’s values and technical philosophy with some of the upcoming generation of engineers,” commented Chris Dyson, product development engineer at ROCOL.

“ROCOL’s relationship with Bradford University has been fruitful over the years. It was a great to explain some of the ways that this partnership works for us both. We hope that this helped the students understand the opportunities that exist if they stay in touch with their university after graduating”.

ROCOL develops, manufactures and markets technically advanced industrial lubricants and line marking systems to industries such as aerospace, marine and offshore and food.
